Jim Black is a native New Englander and grew up in Boston. He attended Norwich University in central Vermont where he earned a degree in Government and Criminal Justice.
Following graduation, Jim did social work in Boston. His original plan to teach skiing in Park City as a short break in his Boston routine turned into a lifetime commitment. After enjoying a career as one of Deer Valley's most successful ski instructors, Jim began his real estate career at Coldwell Banker in 1994 and joined Summit Sotheby's International Realty in 1997.
Jim and his wife Mary enjoy golf, biking and river running in addition to alpine skiing.
Jim specializes in Deer Valley homes, condominiums and lots, including the new Rosewood condominium hotel project at Deer Crest. Another area of focus for Jim is golf course lots.
